So the season is over and now is the time to look back on what has been a frantic, exciting and sometimes amusing nine months of football. Here are my top five moments of the season that brought a smile to my face.

The 2008/09 has certainly been the year of the rant. Whether it is the intense pressure of the modern game or the glare of the media spotlight that has tipped people over the edge I don’t know – but it has provided immense entertainment for the fans.

So as not to tempt fate the Newcastle United 2009/10 home strip has been unvieled without the premier league badges. Alan Shearer does have a tough job with the club in the relegation zone with only five more games to play.
Fact! He is also an idiot. This comes after the Newcastle United striker phoned the police to report a robbery at is house before realising it was just a tip. Having phoned to report a number of items he thought had been nicked, he had to ring back to apologize, when he realized his mistake.
After Newcastle have announced that Joe Kinnear will be staying for the rest of the season, the fans must have shown a change of heart towards the bloke, since this video was filmed anyway….
Cant believe the Geordies are keeping him on!
